Michael Brodie

Michael is Finance and Commercial Director for Public Health England. He has responsibility for the Agency’s £3.5bn budget and for developing and delivering innovative commercial solutions and leading the finance, commercial, ICT and estates functions.

Michael is also President of CIPFA in the North East, is a co-opted lay member of Durham University's Audit Committee and serves as a Governor for the Ashington Learning Partnership.

In 2009 Michael was a winner of the "Future Leaders" award organised by Public Finance and in 2013 he won Finance Director of the Year at the North East Accountancy Awards. He has a wealth of experience across the public sector having held senior finance positions in local government, the police service and the NHS.
