Julia Verne

Professor Julia Verne is a Consultant in Public Health Medicine with over 20 years’ experience working across various NHS organisations and the Department of Health on regional, national and international initiatives. She is the Clinical Lead for PHE’s National End of Life Care Intelligence Network and is leading the development of the Liver Disease Framework for PHE. Julia trained at the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine under Professor Dame Shelia Sherlock. She has a wide range of interest in liver disease ranging from improving the quality and availability of information on liver disease through opportunities for prevention to improving end of life care for people dying from liver disease. She is also interested in ethical dilemmas in liver disease.
