Screening is a choice
How do we help people decide if screening is the right choice? This week we blogged to explain why it’s important to give people full information so they can decide for themselves.

Homelessness and health
We’ve worked with @HomelessLink on a tool to help local areas audit health needs of people experiencing homelessness.

NHS Health Check 2016 conference
The #NHSHealthCheck2016 conference takes place on March 1st 2016 and applications for abstract submissions are now open. More information about the conference is available via a dedicated website.

Shingles vaccination
This week we announced eligible groups for the shingles vaccine programme starting this September. Shingles can occur at any age but is most common in over 70s. We recently blogged to explain why we urge older people to get vaccinated.

Data tools
This week we updated the Public Health Outcomes Framework tool with both new & updated indicators. We also published updated local data on smoking.

MenACWY vaccination programme
Monday saw the start of a new MenACWY vaccination programme that will offer teenagers protection against meningitis (inflammation of the brain) and septicaemia (blood poisoning) caused by 4 meningococcal strains including MenW.
